Abstract:Objective To investigate the inhibitory effect of curcumin nicotinatel on IL-1β, IL-18 production in macrophage exposed to radiation. Methods Macrophage were divided into non-treated control group, irradiated group and curcumin nicotinate treated group where curcumin nicotinate with different dosage of 1.0?μmol/L, 3.0?μmol/L and 9.0?μmol/L was administrated to macrophage before irradiation. The expressions of IL-1β, IL-18 protein were detected using Western blotting. Results Compared with the control group, the expression levels of IL-1β and IL-18 proteins in the curcumin niacin group were significantly increased (P?0.05). The curcumin nicotinate group was given with the concentration of 1.0?mol/L, 3.0?mol/L and 9.0?mol/L respectively. The protein expressions of IL-1 beta and IL-18 were significantly decreased compared with that of the exposure group (P?0.05). Conclusions Curcumin nicotinatel could inhibit the induction of inflammatory factor, IL-1β and IL-18, in the irradiated macrophage.
